Net Income, also known as net profit, or the "bottom line", is the measure of total revenue minus all expenses, taxes, and costs a company incurs during a specific period. In other words, it's the actual profit a company retains after all expenses have been accounted for.Net income is a crucial figure and is used by investors, analysts, and the companies themselves to assess the company's profitability and financial health. It's usually reported on a per-share basis, known as Earnings Per Share (EPS).
